This web site is not intended to take anything away from the human cost of war, it is not meant to offend or diminish the British Service men and women or their families. The aim of this web site is to promote the Margaret Barker Wreath for Animals to as wide an audience as possible. It is hoped that eventually the wreath will gain momentum and become an integral part of the Remembrance Service across the country. It is also hoped that a Memorial Stone for animals will be placed in either Dartmouth Park in Morley or in the town centre of Morley (though at present this is only an idea that is being researched for the feasibility of it) Fingers Crossed ! To conclude anybody reading this website who shares a similar interest in the subject matter, indicative of their web search may be inspired by Margaret and Echo’s story enough to lobby their local MP, Mayor and branch of the British Legion in support of the wreath. I would also ask that anybody who would like to lay a war Animal wreath in their locality at Remembrance Day to please contact me and I will galdly send you a wreath centre, I'm afraid I can't supply you the actual wreath though - my personal funds won't allow me to do that. Proposed memorial at Dartmouth Park, Morley |
